Plain terms on what happens to the details you send through the form on this site, and what to do if you want them changed or removed.
Who is responsible for your details
Evening PC Repair, a computer repair service based in Bartley Green, Birmingham. The person who runs the business is the one who answers the enquiries, so nothing is passed down a chain. The contact address for anything on this page is [email protected].
What the form collects
Only what is in the form, and nothing gathered quietly in the background:
- Your name
- The area or postcode you give, to work out whether it is in range
- Your email address
- A phone number, if you choose to leave one
- The type of repair, how you would like the reply, and your description of the fault
There is no account to create and nothing is bought on this site, so no card details ever come near it.
Why it is kept
To reply to you, with a view on the likely cause and a price. If a visit makes sense, it is arranged over the same message. Nothing is used for advertising and nothing is sold. There is no mailing list.
Who the message passes through
The form is sent as an email. It is delivered through Cloudflare, who host this site and route its post, and it arrives in a private mailbox held with Google. Both are suppliers acting on these instructions and neither uses the message for anything of their own. Nobody else sees it.
How long it is kept
Only as long as it is needed: while the enquiry or the job is live, and afterwards only for the records that tax rules require. Ask for it to be deleted and it is deleted, subject to anything that has to be kept for those records.
Cookies and statistics
This site sets no cookies of its own and carries no advertising or tracking from anyone else. There is a short-lived security cookie set by the host, Cloudflare, to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. It is not used to follow you around the web.
Asking to see or change what is held
You can ask to see anything held about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Email [email protected] and it will be dealt with.
If you are not happy with how it has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
